Team MTN-Qhubeka — Tour de France Cycling Team & Arctic Heat Ice Vests

Team MTN-Qhubeka - Tour de France and Arctic Heat

Team MTN-Qhubeka is Africa's first UCI Pro Continental Cycling Team. They race to mobilise change in Africa one bicycle at a time. The Qhubeka team competes in the biggest road cycling events in the world, including the Tour de France. Arctic Heat is proud to supply the team with cycling cooling vests and neck ties.

Team riders including Jaco Venter pre-cooled with the Arctic Heat cycling cooling vest at the Tour de Suisse 2014. Jay Thomson used the Arctic Heat cooling neck tie at the same event. Both kept cool during transfers and warm-ups in the European summer heat.

At the 2015 Tour de France, Team MTN-Qhubeka made history as the first African team to compete in the race's modern era. They wore Arctic Heat cooling products throughout the event.

Cycling Cooling Vest for Professional Teams

At the UCI ProTour level, marginal gains matter enormously. Pre-cooling with a cycling cooling vest before a stage start or time trial reduces skin temperature and delays heat stress. It allows riders to push at maximum intensity from the gun. The Arctic Heat cooling vest has been used at six Olympic Games and by professional cycling teams across the UCI calendar. It is the lightest, most practical cooling solution available at 2.2 pounds.
